DIANE’S DESIGNS "Meet The Owner & Designer- Diane Latinovich"

Diane Latinovich’s customers have followed her because of her ability to repair, design and restore their treasured jewelry.

“People remember good service,” said a customer to me as she stopped in to Diane’s Designs at 7344 W. Greenfield Ave. in West Allis. “That’s why I come here - I’ve been bringing Diane my jewelry for the last eighteen years.”

Although the jewelry store is new to the neighborhood since November of 2004, Diane Latinovich is not new to the jewelry business. Her philosophy of “service, service, service” was instilled in her since she began to work alongside her aunt and uncle at their family-run jewelry store in 1974, and she’s never forgotten the lesson.

After working there for ten years and in a few other small jewelry stores she eventually found herself working as a jeweler at J.C. Penney Southridge, where her reputation in repair quickly spread throughout the mall.

She also repaired jewelry from the Madison area stores, as Diane’s willingness and expertise in handling all repair requests made for loyal customers.

After her tenure there ended, Diane decided it was time to open a store of her own, a decision that was met with high approval from her customers, “Many of the people I serviced over the years have followed me here and they were happy I have my "own store at last."

Diane’s Designs has many of the traditional jewelry offerings, including faceted and natural stones, watches and family tree plaques. However it’s the service behind the items they sell that has been keeping Diane busy.

With the experience of 44 years behind her, Diane’s craftsmanship has meant that clients can bring any piece of jewelry into be repaired or restored and get great results, no matter how small or extensive the work needs to be.

“We can take older family jewelry and refashion it into something that is more “you” or take a treasured heirloom and restore it so it can be passed down for future generations to enjoy.”

Diane can also work with a customer seeking a unique piece and create a custom design that makes their jewelry a truly personal statement. The time involved can be extensive, but for Diane it’s a labor of love that reaps two-fold benefits.

“Ever since I was little, I loved working with jewelry and making things for people,” she said. “It’s rewarding to see the satisfaction on their face when they see the finished product.”

Diane and her staff are at your service Tuesday to Thursday 9:30 am to 5:30pm, Friday 9:30am to 6:00pm and Saturday 9:30am to 4:00pm
